Horizontal Maize Degermer Verdi

Omas Horizontal Maize Degermer removes the germ and bran from corn grains by using the semi-wet process. After proper conditioning, the grains pass by an internal chamber, where a rotor (shaft) with a special geometry, promotes friction between the grains, removing the skins and germ from them. The peel and germ (corn bran) are suctioned by a pneumatic system, after passing through the perforated screens. The result is a clean final product, kernels free from germ and skin, with no need of further processing.

Construction characteristics:

  • Side covers and built-in hopper for germ extraction made in stainless steel;
  • Rotor made of highly wear-resistant material;
  • Main shaft with special surface treatment against rust;
  • Built-in motor;
  • Machine structure made of weld steel sheet;
  • Control panel

Advantages and performance:

  • Low percentage of grains with remaining skin;
  • High level of degermination;
  • High quality of degermination;
  • Low oil content in the grains;
  • High oil content in the germ removed;
  • Excellent grain surface finishing.
